Crafted in France circa 1970, each substantial sculpture is cast in solid brass and depicts a majestic ram with large, dramatically curled horns, resting on an integral half-moon-shaped base.

The finely detailed animal heads feature expressive eyes, elongated muzzles, and beautifully modeled facial features, capturing the strength and character of the ram. The impressive spiral horns are embellished with deeply incised ridges, creating a rich textured surface that contrasts with the smooth, polished contours of the head and neck. The sculptures are further enhanced by a warm, patinated gilt brass finish, lending depth and character to their sculptural forms.

Inspired by classical animalier sculpture, these decorative pieces combine traditional craftsmanship with the bold aesthetic of mid-century design. Their substantial proportions and impressive weight make them ideal for display on a console, mantel, bookshelf, or executive desk. They could also serve as distinctive decorative accents in a gentleman's study or hunting lodge.

The vintage brass sculptures are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with a beautifully aged golden patina. Each sculpture weighs approximately 17 pounds.
