Vintage Italian LARGE Scale Ceramic Rooster Statue. Roosters are prominent in Italian and Portugal ceramics, dating back to the early Renaissance. Roosters are considered a symbol of good luck in Italian culture. Bottom is covered in green felt, and numbered on bottom. Measures 17” tall by 14”, circa 1940-50’s.
Good pre-owned antique condition. Nice crackle texture. A few small chips in paint. Strong colors. Otherwise in excellent shape.
