Because of rather limited … Read more Weller Pottery 11.5” Ginger Jar w/Lid - CORNISH pattern was manufactured by Weller Pottery in 1933. Because of rather limited production, Cornish is a difficult pattern to find. This piece is called a Ginger Jar with Lid. You may have seen this piece offered on eBay as a "vase" when it is missing the lid. The hand decorated leaves and berries stand out against the mottled blue background. The style of the body, with the small tab handles and incised rings, blends with many decorating motifs, such as Arts & Crafts or Mission. As an accent piece, this is an outstanding item! The bottom is marked in incised script "Weller Pottery". The Ginger Jar measures approx. 11.5”tall. This Jar and Lid are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The inside is extremely clean as if it had never been used. See less
