An attractive and elegant French bronze Art Nouveau dish, made between 1900 and 1910, depicting a nude mermaid with flowing hair, laying on her side. The dish itself is made in the shape of oyster shell.
In France they call this a Vide Poche which means Pocket emptier, a dish to place small objects like keys, pins and coins. Great condition with beautiful age related natural patina.
