Chinese framed porcelain Buddhist temple plaque Saptalochana Tara, a finely drawn depiction of
Seven-eyed Tara in red and gold, seated in a full lotus on a lotus throne, wearing the crown of Amitabha, with an ornate mandorla and halo, her right hand in varada mudra and her left hand in surya mudra holding a lotus flower, her hands, feet and brow having the eyes that see all suffering, amid stylized clouds and Buddhist offerings on a lotus leaf below, all done in fine gilt line drawing throughout. The signature, "Minister Ding Guanpeng, respectfully, painting", with two small seal marks, is carved to the lower right. The plaque is in its original, Chinese, hongmu frame, made with fine Chinese joinery, with original bronze hanger. The back is intact and removable. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
