This double light lamp, … Read more A traditional ovoid from porcelain ginger jar table lamp on a carved dark brown wooden base. This double light lamp, that is hand painted with a wrap around scene in vibrantly rich colourful enamels - primarily shades of green, burnt orange and deep purple/maroon on a grey/celadon background. A pleasing palette of colours.
The lamp portrays a joyous parade with a mother & children riding the mythical scaled Kilin with attendants or bearers playing gongs. A pair of burnt orange auspicious bats decorate the back. Gorgeous emerald greens, oranges and purples typical of the period. Topped with a simple round black finial.
Classic piece and the condition is excellent. 2 lights and 2 pull cords. Full working order.
No markings.
