A sibling to the celebrated Model 4 chair, which graces the esteemed collections of the Musée d’Orsay, this rocker embodies the pinnacle of 19th-century design. This particular piece bears the mark “Made in Poland” signifying that it was produced by Fabryka Mebli Giętych aka FMG/FAMEG c.1880 - 1920. Thonet's factories in Eastern Europe, including those in Poland, continued to produce these iconic designs under the FMG and later Fameg brands. The wood is not dented or scratched in any respect, the chair does not creak (signifying worn joinery). The bottom of the rockers shows negligible signs normal use. less
