The Front has a Hand Engraved Presentation that Reads - An Uncles Gift Francis C Walker New York to His Nephew Francis C Walker Belchertown ( Massachusetts ) November 22nd 1844. Youth Cups such as these were a Very Popular Item in the Early to Late 19th Century. They were usually given as gifts to very young children by Parents - Grandparents - Other Close Family Members & Friends. This is a Completely Silversmith Hand Made Piece of Silver. It has no Silver or Maker Marks but that is not uncommon with some of these earlier pieces of American Silver. Based on its Style it was Most Likely Made in New York. It has a Substantial Solid Coin Silver Weight of 108.04 Grams / 3.474 Troy Ounces. It is in Very Nice All Original Condition - Displays Beautifully. Very Light Age and Use Related Wear - No Damage. It is Lightly Tarnished - Needs a Good Polishing.
It has Been Professionally Tested and is Guaranteed to be Solid Coin Silver.
