Art Deco Busts Pair of Ladies Elegant Ceramic Statuettes Made in Japan Vintage 1930s Flaw
These stylized portrait busts of women were designed with delicate features and elongated necks resting atop square pedestal bases. One has a more glossy finish and one has a more eggshell finish. They display well on a piano, console table, or mantelpiece.
Measurements:
#1: 7 1/4" H x 3" W x 3 1/4" D, ~10 oz
#2: 7 1/4" H x 3.5" W x 4" D, ~10.5 oz
Condition:
The lady with the longer hair has no noticed chips or damage. The lady with the shorter hair has a blue mark near her eyebrow and on the back of the base. The color is under the clear overglaze and appears to be drips from the blue used to stamp "Made in Japan" on the underside. This bust also has a small chip on the bottom left side of its base. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks or damage. Both pieces show crazing throughout. The bases are stable. Please see all photos.
