Original creation by … Read more Portrait is a lithograph realized by Graham Sutherland in 1971. Numbered edition 27/65. Hand signed. Good conditions. Original creation by the English painter Graham Sutherland (1903-1980), among the most significant exponents of the English avant-garde. He studied the engraving technique at the Goldsmiths’ College of Art. In 1931, he specialised in painting. His earlier style, inspired by English Expressionism, was influenced by other European artistic movements, such as Abstract Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism. His artistic practice is a synthesis among these Expressionist experiences and his own fantasy: gloomy manifestations, formal contortions, linear expansions, landscape visions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
