Large Napoleonic Empire cushion gold cannetille embroidered on silk satin.
Cushion with a rich, colorful, heavenly and luxurious appaerance.
Made of genuine silk satin and 19th century embroidered garments (probably a vestment) of gold metal thread.
The fine gold metal thread twisted spirally used in the embroidery gives it the appearance of very delicate lace. The cannetille work combines very well with the magenta - purple silk
In the center of the cushion a gold metal thread embroidered halo with gold metal thread embroidered initials.
The halo is bordered by a circle with 3 patterns fully hand made of cannetille gold metal thread.
Framed in a square metal thread embroidered form with V Pattern.
The cushion is fully trimmed and bordered with metal cannetille work fan motifs.
