Crafted in a rich cherry or ruby red, this piece exemplifies Scandinavian design with its bold color and elegant form. A similar vase style is featured in Scandinavian Glass 1930-2000: Fire & Sea by Leslie Pina and Lorenzo Vigier, highlighting its collectible appeal. Bo Borgstrom, celebrated for his geometric forms and vibrant glasswork, began creating pieces for Aseda Glasbruk in 1960. Founded in Sweden in 1947, Aseda became part of the Royal Krona Group in 1975. Although the group dissolved in 1977, Aseda's designs, along with the innovation of Nordic glass artists like Borgstrom, remain iconic examples of 20th-century Scandinavian glass artistry.
