Original etching of a New England cove, perhaps the coastline of Massachusetts or Maine, signed by the artist Glo Sessions and numbered 12/50. The subject is two fisherman huts/houses with stairs leading down to the sand/water. Browns (of the buildings) and pale greys (sky) are the dominant colors.
This piece was originally purchased from the former Arts Exclusive Gallery (Simsbury, CT) in the late 1970’s. Ms. Sessions, known for her landscapes, was very active in the Connecticut art scene. Her works are on display in various universities, museums (including the Carousel Museum) and private collections.
The etching is matted with a silver frame. Measurements as specified.
