A San Demas by Mark Brazier-Jones, designed during the second half of the 1990s.
Mark Brazier-Jones (UK, New Zealand born) is known for his particular surrealistic style often referred to as neo classical or even space-age baroque. According to the artist himself, “Form does follow function” but he does consider part of the furniture’s function as decorative, expressed by a certain flamboyance found in most of his designs.
Mark Brazier-Jones’ work is featured in several museums.
An interesting trivia is that the exactly this same chair was featured in the latest 101 Dalmatians movie. This piece has an attribution mark,
