Fabulous Empire-style trumeau mirror from early 19th century France with Greco-Roman deity occupying the central frame. Bathed in gold gilt, she is carved with great reverence for beauty and projects off the frame in three-quarter view. The narrow wooden panel is painted cream with casual distressing of the pigment revealing wood grain below. Spots of foxing in the mirror plate. Please view the detailed images to see more.
