Crafted in France circa 1850, this unique console table would have been a fixture in a retail shop (like a bakery) to display the current offerings of the day. It is topped with an impressive slab of marble – chiseled by hand – which rests on a solid oak base. In the apron one can see the joinery technique of wooden pegs. The wonderfully patinated hardwood apron is free of any drawers and connects to square, slightly tapered legs.
