Although I … Read more Outside, ten feet from my Arizona studio window, is a red bougainvillea my mother planted there in 1980. Although I did several drawings of it over the last few years, this large piece that I began January 4th of 2020 is my first painting of my mother's bougainvillea. Although painted in my own recognizable expressionistic style, I have emphasized the abstract nature of this subject. I like that. It is painted in oils on triple sized museum quality linen hand stretched over Probar strips. It will be shipped in a gallery-style painted wood frame made by me for the paintings protection and my display prepared for hanging with its certificate of authenticity enclosed. See less
