Made of carved pine wood, the shield-shaped frame is embellished by the application of rich carvings on its edges; on the cymatium there are carved opposing volutes on which branches develop with flowers and fruits that descend along the sides, in the center the carved face of a possible Armida with a plumed crest, small carving in the lower band. Deficiencies and restorations including two feet in the base added later. The entire surface is gouache gilded. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
