Lovely aged patina with a paint decorated chess board on the top and two drawers sporting solid brass pulls to hold the game pieces. All original including the off-centered screws. This table would have been used at an English tavern in the early 1800's. Whether you use it as a game table or occasional side table, it is certainly a unique piece of history and great conversation starter.
