Crafted in France circa 1870, the rectangular table stands on four slender cabriole legs beneath a shaped apron embellished with delicate floral inlay and decorative gilt bronze mounts.

The walnut top is decorated with an elaborate marquetry composition featuring a central floral bouquet surrounded by contrasting wood veneers arranged in geometric patterns. Each corner is accented with a gilt bronze mount, complementing the foliate decorations at the shoulders of the legs. The gracefully scalloped apron is further embellished with floral inlay, showcasing the traditional craftsmanship of 19th-century French cabinetmaking.

The versatile tabletop slides and unfolds to reveal a generous green felt-lined playing surface, ideal for card games and other leisure activities. A discreet drawer beneath the top provides convenient storage for playing cards and game accessories. When closed, the table serves equally well as a side table or occasional table in a living room, den, or study.

The antique game table is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, retaining a rich walnut patina, beautifully detailed marquetry, and decorative gilt bronze accents.
