They appear to be made of spelter covered with polychrome paint. The word “polychrome” derives from the Greek “polu-” (meaning many) and “khrōma” (color). Polychrome sculpture, fittingly, is originally associated with Ancient Greece and Rome, and describes all manners of pigmented decoration, gilding, and the application of varied color to a three-dimensional surface.

I am estimating age to the art deco era which the finish wears proudly exhibiting commensurate wear. Place of origin is unknown. They are unsigned.

Measurements: 6 1/4" to the top of the candle holder, 9" to the top of the socket, 5" span between the feet, 4 3/4" diameter of the circular base. Weight 4 lbs each

Recently rewired and working. If you prefer not to plug them in, simply tuck the wire inside the interior. See less
