This chair with hints and notes to the Ib Kofod Larsen Horseshoe chair and the Elizabeth chair rarely comes to market. With exceptional walnut grain this will stand out in your danish collection and work well with other American walnut pieces such as those from George Nakashima and Phillip Lloyd Powell. The generously sized carved arms are wide and shapely, which allows for ample arm resting. Upholstered in a Knoll wool blend boucle style fabric. The curves would blend with organic designs form Vladimir Kagan, Edward Wormley, and Milo Baughman.

In promoting the new line, Selig wrote “Here comes the American Walnut, in five chairs including …an upholstered barrel. Here comes the walnut that rode the Missouri, The Wabash, the Ohio, and the Atlantic, to be carved, and crafted by Danish Artisans into Danish chairs. Here comes the American walnut with all its special richness of color and grain, with its lustrous danish oil finish.” Advertisement attached.
