A terrific painting, emotional and powerful... and in a period appropriate frame. The board is 12" high x 16" wide and the frame is 21" x 25". Signed in the lower right hand corner. Ink stamp to the back. We are thrilled to have this artist's work in our collection.
William Gropper was born in New York City' and attended the New York School of fine and applied art. Born 1917 and passed in 1977. He was both a noted Political cartoonist and Visionary. provenance. This piece is from the Gropper family member and recently came into our Inventory.
