These mirrors … Read more This is an original 1920s Colonial Revival 3-panel etched glass wall mirror with a solid carved wood crest. These mirrors were fixtures of American hotel parlors and back bars — a history that gives them architectural presence no reproduction can replicate.
Both etched floral side panels are in excellent condition — glass crisp, etchings fully defined. The center mirror panel has three small clustered areas of silver backing deterioration, visible as cloudy white spots in the reflection. On the backing, not the glass surface. The painted gold-brown wood frame shows natural finish wear in scattered areas. Carved crest solid and intact. Chain for wall hanging included.
At 48 inches wide, this piece commands a fireplace mantel, an entryway hall, or the wall above a thoughtfully designed home bar. Packed with 30 years of experience shipping large and fragile vintage pieces.
