Vintage; Late C.1880's-1910's silver plated, dome lidded, or covered server dish with an etched letter, "P," on the front center … Read more Vintage; Late C.1880's-1910's silver plated, dome lidded, or covered server dish with an etched letter, "P," on the front center of body. Made by a Barbour Silversmith Company of Connecticut. Makers marks verso identify maker, pattern style, and content, with removable handle as image indicates. Maker's mark indicates; a lion with wings, crown, and arm with a sickle hammer, followed by all opposites corners of underside, stating the Silversmith's initials B.S.C.E.P., and below that N.S., in another corner the pattern # collection, 5260, and lastly a star, cross, and star icon. In excellent condition, with minor surface base bottom scratches, due to use and era. From an Upstate, NY., Estate. See less
