This is an original vintage advertisement print for Christian Dior's after shave, Eau Sauvage. It dates to 1970. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the illustrator Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit which continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. Gruau’s breathtaking use of bold color and strong graphic lines enhances the allure of Dior’s products. Signed by Gruau (left side) with his recognizable “g” initial. This whimsical image will make you smile. Gruau's works are now highly desirable and collectible and have become more difficult to find in excellent condition. This print is 8 x 10.5 inches in size. It is in pristine condition and comes matted in a neutral toned custom 16 x 20 inch mat that is ready for a standard size frame. Would make fabulous gift! Please allow time for custom matting.
