Glazed in the classic blue and white manner, the small porcelain jar has a rounded form and flat lid, a traditional shape for jars used to hold Chinese herbal medicines or tea. The large characters for double happiness (囍 shuāngxǐ) are brushed in dark cobalt blue on both sides of the jar and surrounded by an allover pattern of trailing vines and orchid blossoms.
