The beautiful chairs are of the rock series designed by Gerard Van Den Berg for Montis designed in 1981. With their low profile and slightly upturned corners, these two whimsical chairs can be arranged in different positions to create a very chic space, like between two rocks in the forest.
The loveseat measures 56.5" W x 45" H x 36" D. The slip chair measures 35.5" W x 45" H x 36" D.
Gerard Van Den Berg is known for his radical reinterpretation of the traditional Dutch design heritage. In 1974, van den Berg co-founded Montis with his brother. His design was inspired by but also managed to Challenge the Classic forms. His signature style is to manipulate traditional leather upholstery into unexpected forms, creating a tension between the material and the design. He invented the "Jacket" upholstery that is now considered an iconic and revolutionary design approach. See less
