I was not, until I saw this whimsical piece and started to research it! The internet tells us that Flavia was born in 1929 and was a prolific artist and author from the early 1960's. Both her artwork and her books are often described as inspirational. This piece is sure to bring a smile to your face.

This item may catch your eye if you are a fan of William Shakespeare's, knowing that the phrase "the stuff of which dreams are made" refers to a line from his play, The Tempest; or if you are a fan of Humphrey Bogart, recalling that the line was used in The Maltese Falcon; or maybe you are a fan of Carly Simon and her song, The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of... and even if none of the above apply, most everyone can relate to the pleasure of a dream!

The first five photos were taken outside as daylight was fading to show the true color at its best; while the sixth photo was taken inside (pardon the reflection!). The seventh photo shows the brownish/bronzish metal frame, eight shows the artist's signature and the final photo shows an extreme close up of the most obvious yet minor scratch.
