Royce Thyberg Gordon was born in 1938. She traveled the world studying art with a class as part of her training in art, learning about the different types of art techniques, textures, prints, mediums, etc.

She met Russian Impressionist, Nikolai who had studied at the Russian Royal Academy Of Art. He was the last of the great masters of impressionism to paint The Imperial Romanov Family. He was the teacher who taught her Impressionism, and believed in her potential to be a successful artist.

Royce was active as an artist in California for many years. Later in life, Royce moved to Idaho with her family. In her lifetime, the artist has done a variety of things to supplement her art career. She has commissioned a wreath for Povoratti the Opera Singer, worked at Nordstrom for many years, and has art exhibited at the Smithsonian. See less
