This is one of plaques found in Shanxi, China. Hand painted vivid figures of children and government officials. This type of plaque is traditionally hung on the wall of living room or hall above an altar table or sofa and facing the door. Anyone who enters the room will see the plaque immediately. This is one-of-a-kind item to collect and will last generations to admire. The painting was in excellent condition so only protective finish applied to protect the painting and panel and prevent future deteriorating. We have a pair of same size plaques.
