Here we have a gorgeous vintage Chinoiserie hand painted porcelain Ginger Jar lamp. Seated on a black wooden three footed base. Huge fluffy peonies and birds in matte glaze on a dark blue ground. The shade, harp and finial are NOT included.
Simply stunning from every angle. There is NO damage to the porcelain jar, however the black wooden base does have a few scuffs/worn areas from age and use. I believe the jar was converted to a lamp in the 1970's. I find no maker's mark, but I'm fairly certain it was made in China. It reminds me of the colorful matte glaze lamps by Wildwood. The height is 19" to the top of the socket. There is NO harp, shade nor finial.
