Exquisitely crafted in walnut with richly detailed dore’ bronze ormolu mounts, this sideboard exemplifies the grandeur and refinement of the Belle Époque era. The serpentine form is beautifully balanced with hand-carved moldings, bronze embellishments, and elegant curves, all hallmarks of the Louis XV tradition. The original marble top features dramatic veining and gracefully extends into a shaped backsplash inset with marble panels, framed by gilt bronze accents. Three upper drawers and three lower cabinet doors provide ample storage while maintaining the sideboard’s refined aesthetic. The ormolu mounts, with their scrolling acanthus leaves, rocaille motifs, and gilt bronze paw feet, add a luxurious brilliance to the warm walnut finish. Ideal for a formal dining room, grand salon, or distinguished collection, this signed Haentges Frères sideboard is a true museum-quality piece of French decorative art. It combines functionality with artistry, making it both a statement furniture investment and a timeless symbol of French elegance. less
