Stunning Heavy Gauge Chisel Cast French Grand Tour German Neo-Classical Bronze and Crystal Ink Stand of Museum Quality and generous proportions. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The rectangular bronze body with twin trays with stunning reeded cast detailing, the central oval well with lift out dome shaped cover and finial modelled as entwined Dolphins.
Condition: Superb untouched condition with nice surface patination and very light evidence of use, original glass inkwells, no evidence of a foundry makers mark.
