It is a 1st Edition, 1st Printing. Originally published in 1917-1918 in German, as two separate novels, author Emil Ludwig later compiled the books as one. This the original American novel (in two), with dust jacket art by Hans Krause. The books are housed in the original publisher's now-worn slipcase, (to be sent with the books). 'Diana' is the story of an elusive woman, desired by all the high-society, European men she encounters. Loosely based on the Goddess Diana, this Art Deco, Jazz-Age novel follows her as she travels the capitals and haunts of Europe - trailed by a number of besotted would-be lovers. The two books are mylar-protected. The Art Deco jackets show a bit of wear on the spines, under mylar.. The Interiors are clean, bright and un-marked. The two books, in the slipcase, will be carefully packed and sent with trackin. See less
