The lithograph by henry moore is hand signed. This original artwork is from an edition of 50 prints. The prints have been printed at the curwen studio and published by galleria marino in rome in 1976 in just 50 copies. "three reclining figures" is a lithograph in color of rare beauty, figuring in the tate gallery’s collection, among others. Excellent sheet in perfect conditions. Henry moore is best known for his semi-abstract monumental bronze sculptures. He is also famous for depicting londoners during the blitz during wwii, his series of drawings and graphic works on paper. His original prints represent abstractions of the human figure, typically reclining figures. Famous above all as a sculptor, henry moore experimented with various graphic techniques throughout his career. In the 1970s, he produced a number of lithographic variations on the theme of a reclining figure, and this 1976 lithograph may be considered as part of that body of work. Henry moore’s sculptures, although abstracted, always remain recognizable. Moore alleged that the simple and massive shapes of his statues expressed a universal truth beyond the physical world. As he said, “my sculpture is becoming less representational, less an outward visual copy […] but only because i believe that in this way i can present the human psychological content of my work with greatest directness and intensity.” this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
