This collectible cast iron doorstop is a very old and sturdy piece. Little Red Riding Hood features her original paint, though some wear and crackling are present, which is to be expected from a vintage item. She weighs almost 6 lbs and stands about 9 and 3/4 inches tall.

This doorstop was made by the Hubley Manufacturing Company, and the design (#95, as shown in the photo above) was created by Grace Drayton, who was also a designer for the Campbell's Soup Company. You can see the resemblance in the facial features, such as the large eyes and big cheeks. Drayton was a well-known illustrator for children's toys and books.

This one was listed in the Hubley catalog as #95 and it also has the number 95 embossed in the center of the backside. This one is still in really nice condition.
G.G. "Grace" Drayton was born in 1877 in Philadelphia and was known as the best female cartoonist of the early 1900's. She created the Campbell Soup kids that we all have came to know and love.
