We date this work to about 1700 and think it comes from Holland or the area around it. I very much liked the way the artist handled light in this piece. This is part of a body of revolutionary work that is not religious in nature. The frame and mat are later. This piece is a rare survivor on a very large piece of handmade paper. The subject is particularly pleasing. See less
