Middle Eastern Asian style in hexagonal form, with a hanging loop and decorated with floral motifs and a kufic honorific inscription.
Each of the six sides brass panel with delicate hand hammered, chiseled, pierced and engraved scrolling floral foliate designs and a panel of honorific calligraphic Arabic Islamic Thuluth above and below.
One side has a door to access the inside, the door was designed in a Moorish Arched shape.
Middle Eastern Moorish Mameluke Syrian Mosque Islamic style brass antique oil lamp pendant with 6 hand-blown Bohemian glass.
Total length of the brass Moorish light: 30" with glass drop.( without chains)
Brass body height: 24"
Comes with chains and ceiling canopy.
Condition: Restored and Newly rewired and ready to use.
Missing one glass, the glass were used before to hold the oil that will illuminate the light.
Metalwork Islamic Art Museum Quality.
One of a kind hard to find, a similar piece was sold at Sotheby's in 2022.
