A rare and important French/ Italian Art Deco period bronze sculpture of a walking panther in original dark brown/ black patina. This exquisite cast, sculpted with highly stylized anatomical details is signed by the artist Piero Palazzolo, Paris and stamped Cire perdue, A.Hebrard foundry.
The statue rests on a 3/4" black marble slab base with slight gray veining.
The Italian sculptor Piero Palazzolo worked in Paris during the same period as Rembrandt Bugatti.
Original Rembrandt Bugatti sculpture sells for upwards of $2,000,000.
The style on this panther is similar to Rembrandt Bugatti's later more valuable Cubist period.
