Hand carved white alabaster sculptural table lamp of a nude woman reclining inside a clam shell with three winged putti carrying her aloft from shell laden waters.
Signed to verso by the Italian 19th/20th century artist Prof. Umberto Stiaccini, Florence.
The scallop shell represents the many different spiritual/ soul-filled pathways that lead to the universal center of all life-forms, also rePresenting our internal personal journeys that we take.
This can be used as a decorative sculpture and/or additionally as a table lamp. Colored light bulbs can be used if desired to enhance the effect of color and translucency of the alabaster and give it a glow or change in tone.
