Beautiful example of John Somers, pewter Chocolat Pot. The French introduced, the chocolate pot. Dated 1970's, this charming pot is stamped with hallmarks on the side of pot and on base. John Somers, of Brazil, one of the finest pewter craftsmen of the 20th Century. Somers, work is handmade and cast. Pewter is a soft metal, and hand casting this material gives it strength therefore, making it more durable for serving ware.
Pot has a beautiful turned wooden handle and part of the top of lid.No dings.
