The original artwork is in Museum of Art, San Paulo, Brazil. Here, in a perfect conjunction of strong, sober colors, stylistic elegance and consummate draftsmanship, Modigliani gives us a fine, lifelike portrait of the picture-dealer Zborowsky, who was also one of the artist's most devoted and helpful friends. He had faith in Modigliani and, at a time when their sales value was practically nil, continued to buy his works with cheerful confidence and generosity.
