Chinese framed porcelain Buddhist temple plaque White Tara, a finely drawn depiction of White Tara in black and gold, seated in a full lotus on a lotus throne, with an ornate mandorla and halo, her right hand in varada mudra and her left hand in surya mudra, her hands, feet and brow having the Wisdom Eye, amid stylized clouds and Buddhist offerings on a lotus leaf below, all done in fine gilt line drawing throughout. The signature of the artist, "Minister Ding Guanpeng, respectfully, painting", with two small seal marks, is carved to the lower right. The plaque is in its original, Chinese, hongmu frame, made with fine Chinese joinery, with original Chinese bronze hanger. The back is intact and removable. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
