Jovial dancing figures and musicians. This jug was crafted at one of the renowned Villeroy and Boch factories located in Mettlach, Bavaria. It features the distinctive and classic Mettlach style, with a central band that is intricately decorated using the engraving technique, where different colors in the design are separated by fine grooves, giving the appearance of being engraved. The jug portrays lively village scenes, including an orchestra playing a joyful tune, couples dancing energetically, and men sharing beer and wine while engaging in quiet conversation.
