This very theatrical painting is part baroque, part modern, part transitional yet all fantastic. The woman in the center may have been his muse at the time. It bridges a scene at an opera or a very dramatic theatrical production. He was a known NYC painter and was collected both in the USA and Europe. His life span was from 1948-2019. He graduated from the Pratt Institute in 1966. The very special beautiful expensive custom frame was done around 12 years ago and truly enhances this most fascinating painting. Could be a scene at an opera, could be role reversal--a very interesting scenario in wonderful shades of pink, raspberry pink, charcoal gray and dusty rose. The painting has many twists of fancy and rises great questions. It has strong dramatic imagery of a very poetic nature. It will keep the eye and mind wondering. From the 80;s.
