A colorful composition that explores imagery of death and resurrection, this monumental painting depicts Christ rising from his tomb. A despondent Saint Peter with rooster are pictured to the right of Christ. The writing across the top of the painting reads: "The die was cast the cast intact. 12 men. 1 Christ. No turning back. / the cup is past the first the last. 12th hour. 1st son. the deed / IS DONE. Amen." Signed and dated to the lower right corner, the painting is displayed in a black frame. See less
