This is a beautiful large Platter by Copeland (formerly Spode) in a very decorative floral pattern No. 8036, England, dating to circa 1850. The piece is well painted as a large rectangular platter with bevelled corners. It is made of Earthenware pottery. This pattern is Spode's Ship Border Pattern with a Floral Centre and is illustrated.as a Dinner Plate on Page 58 of the book; Spode & Copeland by Steven Smith, published by Schiffer.
