the "album fenaille" or "album goupil" is the first collection of heliogravures after drawings/watercolours by auguste rodin, and it was published in a very limited edition in 1897. They included 129 plates and a total of 142 images (some plates contain more than one image), mainly inspired by dante's inferno. The introduction was written by octave mirbeau: five years later, rodin will illustrate his "jardin du supplices".
