This original abstract work by Michelle Knowblauche, executed in 1984, features a layered, architectural composition created through a combination of acrylic and silkscreen techniques. The piece is defined by stacked rectangular forms, fine linear textures, and subtle color transitions that create depth and rhythm across the surface.
The composition balances structured geometry with a softened, atmospheric background, resulting in a work that feels both graphic and painterly. Horizontal bands of muted blue and warm tonal accents punctuate a field of grays and charcoal, giving the piece a quiet sense of movement and restraint.
The artist signs the artwork and retains its original gallery-style presentation. It is currently framed, though the original plexiglass is no longer present, allowing the work's surface and texture to be viewed unobstructed. However, we recommend replacing the plexi to protect the print from damage.
A strong example of late 20th-century abstract practice, this piece works well in modern, minimalist, and thoughtfully layered interiors.
